The Season's Trends
From narrow to wide, from short to long – anything goes! However, wide-cut is the absolute bestseller when it comes to trousers. Divided skirts are also celebrating their great fashion comeback as culottes this season, as are floor-length Marlene Dietrich trousers with a high waistband, casual chinos and flared jeans. Women who do not have model figures will especially welcome this new freedom when shopping for trousers.
What to wear with trousers
Trousers are truly multi-talented when it comes to styling, and they go with almost anything. For an elegant look, wear them with blouses, blazers and high heels. For a cool look, they work well with Chelsea boots and a leather jacket. For a casual everyday look, try a shirt and trainers. And with a white shirt and high heels, even joggers are suitable for going out.
An extra tip
Trousers are great all-rounders, but only once you have found the right fit. While boot-cut trousers work best for women with heavy thighs, petite women with short legs should go for flared or Capri trousers. They appear to lengthen the legs and "cheat" a few extra centimetres. On the other hand, the motto for heavy calves is: Keep away from skinny trousers.
